If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax in nature, why not head to a campground? By experiencing all four seasons and following in the footsteps of stars from your favorite dramas and variety shows, you'll discover the unique charm of Korea's camping spots.
As you drive along the quiet country roads away from Sangju, you'll come across a camping site that beautifully preserves the nostalgic atmosphere of an old school. Sangju Woosan Auto Campground, a campground remodeled from an elementary school, was also the filming location for a scene in the drama “Castaway Diva,” where Mok-ha (Park Eun-bin) enjoyed camping with Bo-geol (Chae Jong-hyeop) and his family. The cozy schoolyard is equipped with various convenient amenities, such as a convenience store and shower facilities, and there are plenty of fun activities for children, like a sandbox and swings, making it a perfect spot for a family getaway.
Spielraum Glamping & Café is located on Jebudo Island, a beautiful island where the path only opens during low tide. It’s also the place where LE SSERAFIM enjoyed a fun time eating barbecue on the web variety show “IDOL 1N2D.” Glamping tents, divided into a bedroom and a decked terrace, are equipped with various amenities, including a table, fridge, grill, microwave, TV, and bed, offering a comfortable stay as if you were in a hotel, even while surrounded by nature. You can wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee at the café while gazing at the ocean view of Jebudo Island.
Damteo Oji Camping Ground is located in the tranquil Damteogyegok Valley, famous for its crystal-clear waters, offering the perfect environment to enjoy nature ASMR. True to its name (Oji refers to a remote area), it’s situated in a secluded mountain area. However, its eco-friendly layout and various amenities have made it a popular destination, often leading to competitive reservations on nice days. In the variety show “I Live Alone,” Hwasa of the group MAMAMOO visited the site with her fellow dancers, where they enjoyed playing in the water, eating instant noodles and grilled pork belly.
